Discover the quality of Betica

An injection with as little pain as possible is nice. That is why we pay great attention to injection comfort. It is also important to minimise skin damage. we use only high-quality substances and check every needle mechanically. The result? More injection comfort and reliable administration.

Maximum injection comfort with Quinta-point

For Betica Quinta, we use Quintapoint technology: a five-fold sharpened needle tip. This sharp needle ensures extra good skin penetration and reduces skin damage.

speciale dubbele siliconenlaag

Better flow through the extra thin needle wall

If there is more space on the inside of the needle, the insulin can flow better.
This is why Betica pen needles have an extra-thin needle wall.

elektrolytisch gepolijst

Electropolished for an extra smooth cannula

We polish Betica pen needles electrolytically which ensures an extra smooth cannula. This ensures minimal skin damage.

Veel gestelde vragen

Betica is an all-rounder. The pen needles can be used with all common insulin pens, such as the Novopen, Humapen, Solostar and AllStar. See here for a complete overview.

Use pen needles only once. This is because after use, pen needles are no longer sterile. Moreover, the tip may become bent or blunt with repeated use. This increases the risk of syringe marks. Also, the special double silicone layer (lubricant) disappears, making injection less comfortable. Do not inject through clothing and do not leave the pen needle on the insulin pen after use. This will prevent air from entering the insulin cartridge.

Look at deze blog showing you exactly how to inject insulin the right way.

The Association of Diabetes Nurses advises against it.

Always follow your practitioner's instructions! The Association of Diabetes Nurses recommends injecting at a right angle for 4-5 mm needles and at an oblique angle of 45 degrees for 6-8 mm pen needles.

When doing so, follow the instructions of your practitioner and contact them if necessary if you are unclear or in doubt.

We strongly advise against this. This is because after use, the pen needles are no longer sterile. Moreover, the tip may become bent or blunt with repeated use. This increases the risk of injection spots. The special double silicone layer (lubricant) also disappears, making injection less comfortable.

Yes indeed! And a very handy one too. Order this and other service materials free of charge via our website.

We do not recommend this, as air may enter the insulin cartridge.

You should dispose of pen needles in a needle cup after use. Is the sharps container full? Then hand it in at your pharmacy or environmental centre. Ask your local council where you can return full sharps containers.
